The Members’ Assembly

The members’ assembly is the heart of the cooperative’s governance and consists of 116 members divided into three categories: special, regular, and volunteer members. After a period of integration with a mentor, special members can attain regular member status, subject to a positive evaluation by the Board of Directors. Members are promoters of the mission and vision and actively participate in the cooperative’s decisions through voting rights in the assembly.

Cooperativa Margherita assemblies open to all citizens are planned.

The Board of Directors

The Board of Directors ensures the ethical nature of the decisions made by the General Management and Operational Coordination and their alignment with the cooperative’s core values. It also focuses on the care and implementation of social and cultural capital. The option for workers, established by the 2023 statute, to choose not to become members has strengthened ongoing reflections on the sense of belonging and participation in cooperative life. The social body grows with new young members who bring new demands, needs, and perspectives on work and the role of the social cooperator.

Operational Coordination

The Operational Coordination is the governance body that coordinates areas and resources to manage services and achieve defined and shared objectives. Starting in 2024, following management reorganization, it meets upon request with the “variable geometry” system, involving members according to the topics and issues to be discussed.
